Start registration

Under 'WELDING - Welder or Welding procedures' it is possible to choose between two type of product registration

• Register Welder Certificate
• Register Welding Procedure

Register Welder Certificate

Click on 'Register Welder Certificate ' to register a product. Please choose between manual registration or registration based on existing certificate.

Click on 'Based on existing welder certificate' to search after a certificate to be used as basis for a new welder certificate. A part of the certificate number or the welder name is also searchable.

After you have selected the respective certificate, all technical and personal data will automatically be filled in based on the selected certificate. If required, further adjustment is possible.

The manual registration opens a window where you may select a welder already registered in the database, or register a new welder.

 

If your search for welder ends up in no results, the welder can be added by use of "Create new welder".

(Multiple registrations can be done from the Welder Records view under deliverables).

• Personal information to be filled in
• If the welder is employed at an external company, tick off external and fill in the name of the company
• It's also possible to mark if the welder is 'Active' or not

Depending on the selected standard, specific 'Test Data' can be selected.

 

Under 'Forms and Attachment' you have access to all Rules, Class Programs and other related documents.

After you have registered all relevant data, you can calculate the range for the welder by clicking on 'Recalculate ranges'.

Upload relevant documents.

Click on 'Preview certificate' to see the draft certificate.

To close the product registration, please click on the button 'OK'.

• If you want to register more WQT's in the same order you can click on '+Register Welder Certificate'. It is also possible to use the copy function and just change the welder name or standard.

• Modification of the certificate is possible as long as the order is in 'Draft' mode
• When all certificates are registered, send the request to your local office

 

You can after the product registration invite DNV GL for a visit. How to request a visit is described in 'Request a service' under 'VISITS'.

 

Register Welding Procedure

Click on 'Register Welding Procedure ' to register a product. Please choose between manual registration or Excel import.

 

The registration via 'Excel Import' gives you the possibility to register one or more products by using the Excel upload functionality.

 

Please download first the Excel template and fill in all required information. With the upload of the filled out Excel sheet, the information is checked and missing information are shown in the summary after the upload has been finished.

Click 'Go to overview' to close the Excel product registration and go back to the product overview page. Now all your products registered through Excel are visible in the list.

You have now the possibility to edit the information by clicking on ().

The manual registration opens a window where you may register all relevant data of a WPS/WPQR.

In 'Forms and attachment' you can download the 'Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR)' to be used during the survey.

Copying and sending the procedures follows the same regime as for Welder Certification (described above).

Click on 'DNV GL service documents' to access all Rules, Class Programs and other related documents. 

To close the product registration please click on the button 'OK'.
